Fort Smith Medical Marijuana Doctor

Ozark MMJ Cards provides medical marijuana card renewals to residents of Fort Smith, Arkansas. Considered the original gateway to The Wild West, Fort Smith has been recognized as a “Top Ten True Western Town” by True West magazine. Fort Smith is the second-largest city in Arkansas, getting its start as an important center for outfitting forty-niners during the gold rush in the late 1840s. Due to the fact that its route had fresh grass earlier in the spring than other routes to California, one of the first wagon trains left from the town. Fort Smith’s slogan is, “Where the New South Meets the Old West.”

Residents and tourists of Fort Smith can enjoy its unique history at various historical attractions around the city. Miss Laura’s Visitors Center is located in the Historic Downtown District along the Arkansas River. A former Old West bordello, the Victorian mansion is the only “house of ill repute” on the National Register of Historic Places.  At the Fort Smith National Historic Site, visitors can learn about Deputy U.S. Marshal Bass Reeves and the outlaws he brought to justice. The Belle Grove Historic District encompasses a 22-square block area with four historic homes available to tour, including the Darby House. General William O. Darby grew up in this home before becoming the founder of the celebrated Darby’s Rangers of WWII and that would eventually become the modern-day Army Rangers. The home now serves as a heritage museum that contains military memorabilia of General Darby and other WWII artifacts.
